Super Smash Bros. Fellowship 2015

Description

While both Nintendo and Ubisoft make apparent disappointments at E3....their fictional, well known characters (or at least my favourite ones) still face inner-world problems of their own. One by one, heroes from around a mashed world combine to save it from a dark force, led by a new villain that only Rayman and Pikachu have met so far...
The pages of Super Smash Bros. Fellowship will be back, this summer.

My impressions on E3, this year
So for the first time, I decided to watch the Ubisoft conference all the way through....unaware that a bunch of swearing was ahead. It was at this moment when I started to realise that Rayman would not appear at all....an my fear was brought true. It's as if this is the second time they will put him on a hatius that lasts between Rayman 3 and Rayman Raving Rabbids. The cinematics in some of the games were good, but some of their gameplay looked too similar....especially the shooting and racing games.

In my opinion, Nintendo has beaten them this year....but they weren't that spectacular, either. I have to say though, I did have some fun watching.
One of the highlights was Hyrule Warriors....Legends? Really? They couldn't just call it 3DS? It's not a completely new game, so the title is as off as SSB for 3DS & Wii U. Still, it has held as on of my top Wii U games and I can't wait to try it on the handheld.
Star Fox Zero wasn't bad, either. So wasn't Super Mario Maker, but....they didn't show much new elements for the game.

But as you know, I love cross-overs. And I was surprised that the style of the Mario & Luigi series would COMBINE with Paper Mario in a special 3DS game, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. It's like Layton meets Wright over again. Personally, I'm highly thinking of getting it.

Still though, no Rayman. A friend of mine was hoping for Pokemon as well, in fact. He wasn't too disappointed, but I am aware that a lot of watchers from Twitch (the site I watched Nintendo's presentation from) were utterly displeased. I didn't care less though; I'm already content with the upcoming Mystery Dungeon game.

Sometime soon though, the game industry had BETTER come up with a big way to give Rayman dignity for his 20th anniversary.

About the illustration
So what do you think of it? I've managed to cram over 20 characters in the picture, including 'newcomer', Linebeck from Phantom Hourglass. Like I said, the characters' personalities are what stand out in my comic. And the cowardly sailor is no different. You can expect to see him....sooner than you think in my comic.

Also, I always hesitate about shading. But this time, I enjoyed a kind of shading technique that I have already used on Mermaid Rosalina. It seems like the same shade for games like Super Mario Galaxy, and the end result for this art is spectacular. I bet I will use this more often in the future. But for SSBF? I'm not sure yet.

I would talk a lot more about the illustration, but I'm still preparing others to come. Hope you all like it!

OMG I FOUND CRASH! To find him look just above the hair propeller this that Rayman had and you can see him spinning in the distance!
