Saphire found in Snow

A little something I drew, which is actually a part of the Christmas Eve literature I showed, exactly a year ago. This drawing is different from the one above the story, Caught in a Blitzley Blizzard. It's like a reminder.

Saphire ‘.............’

Saphire couldn’t move an inch.

No, she wasn’t frozen in ice, let alone caught by..........her....but she was deeply buried in snow. She had spent too long outside, and now the temperature had its full grip on her. As soon as she couldn’t walk anymore, her legs had given up and fainted into the snow. She had unwillingly let lots of raining snow cover her whole body. It turns out, that as well as a grass-type, being a water-type in extremely low temperatures was bad.

Saphire, her whole body made of water, was turning into ice, and looking very pale. She could do nothing but think of what happened earlier. Think of her best friend, Charmy. Think of anything to comfort her thoughts and keep her from thinking of her dire situation. If she didn’t get any source of warmth soon, she would die......of being frost-bitten to death.

Saphire thought to herself;

Saphire ‘(...I....don’t want to die. Not like this. I don’t think I would mind dying on the beach....but not this way. I can’t believe what happened after what I saw behind me when I was walking back. It looked....shadowy....and floaty. I went back to try and find it, but it just had to go away and disappear....and make me lost. I want to be free......free of this......this......)’

The cold was way too much for the poor, poor Vaporeon to handle, now. These would be her last thoughts before she......moved on.

Saphire ‘(...........Charmy............someone............please...save me.........

          ..........I......I don’t want...to go.......................please............

Saphire felt a slight warmth.

She could hear....something...treading closer to where she was buried. Whatever it was, it kept walking, making slight crunching noises in the snow, until it literally treaded onto one of the fins of Saphire’s beautiful mermaid tail, which was cold as ice, too.

The foot of the creature felt warm to Saphire....and small. It felt as if the thing had noticed what it had just treaded on, so it removed its foot away.

Saphire thought it would then go away, only making her last a little bit longer, thanks to the warmth, but then, it sounded as if the creature knelt down in the snow....and started to dig.

It dug out the end of Saphire’s tail. Saphire couldn’t hear it, but a small gasp came from the creature. It then picked up the tail, and hugged it. From the feel of the tail, the creature felt very warm to her. Its temperature started to defrost Saphire’s tail. With the energy she had in her tail left, Saphire touched the creature’s face with one of her fins. And she knew it would be okay to do so, because she could tell...

            ...It was CHARMY, who had found her.

Charmy was happy to know that his friend was moving slightly, at least. As ever, he loved the feel of Saphire’s tail. He had to let it go, though. Charmy ran to the furtherest lump of snow of what he assumed was Saphire’s head. He knelt down, and started digging the lump. Soon, he could see a bit of dark blue in the hole he was digging.

Saphire could feel her head being touched by Charmy’s warm hand. Oh, how relieving and refreshing it was to her. The snow around her head was being scooped away by Charmy’s hands until her face was fully in the chilly air. Charmy then tried to lift Saphire’s head towards him, her fin-like ears dropped and motionless.

She tried opening her frosted eyes, but they felt like they were stuck, or worse, frozen shut. But she then felt Charmy’s warm tongue licking her face, including her nose and eyes. Thanks to this, she could sniff through her dog-like nose and just about open her weary eyes. And there he was. His cute, relieved face right in front of hers.

Saphire still felt ninety-percent cold, but she looked at Charmy and managed to speak;

Saphire ‘..........Ch......Ch....Ch..Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Cha-a-a-a-a-rrrrrrrrrrr.........m-m-m-m-m-my-y-y-y-y-y-y-y........y...........

Charmy ‘.........Char......(Sniff)...!’ <:’)

Charmy then had an idea. He hugged Saphire’s head into his tummy. Her whole face was engulfed in his hot, yellow, reptile-like skin. It was SO comfortably warm. Her whole face was defrosted, even though the rest of her body couldn’t take it in. Still, she smiled as she managed to get a small part of her mouth to be free of the tummy and breathe. She would, for the fun of it, blow bubbles into Charmy’s belly right now, but she didn’t have the energy to do it, so she kept smiling and managed to lick it with her tongue, instead.

Charmy didn’t see that coming and giggled. He was slightly tickled by Saphire’s other small facial movements. To him, her face was so cold, but he could handle it. He then called out for Dragonair and Blitzle;

Charmy ‘CHAAARMAAANDEEERR!!’

As he waited for their response, he continued to hug Saphire’s head, and managed to hear a few words from her;

Saphire ‘....Thththtthtthhthththaank.....y-y-yy-yyy-yyyyoooooou-uuu-uu-u-u........’

Charmy, upon hearing this, smiled and hugged her a bit tighter.

The little drawing was drawn a year ago, which means I've had trouble coming up with something to draw for Xmas, this year. But then again......do I have to?
I might come up with something later....or not. I've had a tight schedule.
